FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE FORMAT Player receives a Under Armour Game Shirt AND Shorts Head Coach receives Under Armour 495 football 6-7 game season plus Playoffs 6 v 6 format on 30 yd wide x 60 yard fields (estimate) NO pass rush, just a 3-6 second sack count. Emphasis on the pass game and run game limitations. Average 9 player rosters so everyone plays every game Practices are held before the game or scheduled during the week (determined by your Coach). The Cages Baseball and Softball Training, Camps and Instruction The Cages Training Facility is a great place to come hit or pitch! Batting cages are one of the best ways to improve the swing for baseball and softball players. Our indoor batting cage lets you escape the heat of Arizona and those occasional rainy days. The Cages batting cages are great on those cold winter Arizona days as well. Get the Results You Want Perfect practice in our hitting facility and batting cage will lead to great results! The amount of swings that you will get at our training center will greatly improve your game. At our batting cage, there are many options to choose from such as coach pitch, curve balls, automatic pitching machines, softball machines and more! While hitting is an important part when visiting our batting cage, pitching should not be forgotten. At The Cages Training Facility, we have a pitching alley allowing for pitching practice. Progressing Junior Golfers Toward Par or Better On and Off The Course The John Kim Golf Junior Academy uses the Operation 36 framework to structure our program. It consists of Coaching, Playing, and Training programs and is designed to teach golfers to play the game from a hole out perspective. Each golfer will be issued a profile in the Operation 36® Mobile App to track progress through a 6-level curriculum that is designed to set appropriate objectives and challenge each student towards shooting par or better (score of 36) for 9 holes. PGA Junior League Golf is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls ages 13 and under to learn and enjoy the game of golf. Much like other recreational league sports, participants wear numbered jerseys and play on teams with their friends. Gilbert Youth Football League was founded in the spring of 2009 with a mission that The Kids Come 1st. We are an established and experienced NFL Flag program with many years of experience. We offer a full season with pre-season scrimmages, and a season ending championship tournament. We also provide opportunities for our teams to compete in regional and national tournaments. We are a preferred league of the Arizona Cardinals Youth Football Program and a member of the Town of Gilbert Sports Coalition. GYFL currently runs 2 seasons each year. The spring season will generally begin in late February or early March and always ends the weekend prior to Memorial Weekend. The fall season begins the weekend after Labor Day and will always conclude the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. Practices for each season generally begin 2-3 weeks prior to the season beginning. The Fiesta Bowl Youth Football Clinic is hosting a clinic that will teach more than just the fundamentals. Boys and girls ages 7-14 will have the opportunity to participate in this free, non-contact clinic led by trained athletes and experienced coaches. The participants will spend the day learning, practicing, and growing through various skills and drills while developing confidence, a strong work ethic and motivation that will help them succeed both on and off the field. This fun-filled football experience is one that young football fans will not want to miss. Featured speaker Michael Bankston Michael Bankston is a former NFL defensive tackle who played nine seasons with the Arizona Cardinals and Cincinnati Bengals. Bankston’s journey to the NFL began with hard work and dedication in his youth. Now, he will share his story with the next generation. The opportunity for players of all ages to compete in a championship football combine, speed, skills, & agility camp! The AZ Youth Football Combine gives kids of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to compete in a professional style football combine. The day of the event, participants will be given a bib number and take a head shot for their online player profiles. Prior to the days event the participants will be properly stretched and prepared to compete. They will receive proper coaching tips and training prior to each event to ensure each participate preforms to the best of their abilities. As the players compete in the combine events, professionals will be on hand to record both footage and log the times of each participant. Following the event, a highlight reel of each player will be created and accessible to participants after time for proper editing has elapsed. After the youth football combine events conclude, trainers will offer advice on how to increase speed and agility moving forward. Sun Devil Soccer Camps Tempe, AZ The focus of the camps will be on preparing players for collegiate level soccer. The camp will provide a great opportunity for aspiring student athletes to get an intimate look at what it takes to be a collegiate soccer player. The camp will be held at Arizona State University and utilize the Sun Devil Soccer Complex featuring its natural grass field as well as the dome.
Through the use of skills camps, clinics and tournaments, Arizona Cardinals Youth Football provides opportunities for the continuing education and training youth players, coaches, parents league administrators and organizers in order to make this a better, safer game. NFL Youth Flag Football Arizona Cardinals NFL FLAG presented locally by Albertsons and Safeway is the National Football League’s official youth league for children 5-17 years old. Gatorade Junior Training Camps Held monthly in the winter, spring and fall, each camp consists of a short motivational speech by a current or former Cardinal player and an interactive play area comprised of stations designed for the teaching of non-contact football skills such as catching and throwing. Cardinals High School Skills and Educational Camp The free camp offers students from high schools across Arizona the opportunity to receive a full day of classroom and on-field football instruction from professionals. The classroom segment will include instruction on life skills, physical health and nutrition. The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) has been raising champions for more than a century. Since its inception in 1888, the AAU has set the standard for amateur sports in the United States with one goal in mind: “Sports For All, Forever.” It is more than a motto – it has been the focus and drive of AAU for 130 years and counting for sports in the United States and throughout the world. One of the largest, non-profit, volunteer, multi-sport event organizations in the world, the AAU is dedicated exclusively to the promotion and development of amateur sports and physical fitness programs. The AAU philosophy of “Sports For All, Forever” is now shared by nearly 700,000 members and 150,000 volunteers across 41 sports programs and 55 U.S. districts. The AAU was founded in 1888 to establish standards and uniformity in amateur sport . During its early years the AAU served as a leader in international sport representing the U.S. in the international sports federations. The AAU worked closely with the Olympic movement to prepare athletes for the Olympic games. In the late 1970’s, the AAU reshifted its focus and efforts to providing sports programs for all participants of all ages beginning at the grass roots level.
Alliance Youth Sports Association promotes and develops young athletes in our communities. It is also our focus to ensure that our athletes compete at the highest level, obtain leadership and character development, strive to be lifetime pupils in the classroom and on the field, and ultimately become outstanding individuals within our association and the community. The Alliance Youth Sports Association was founded with the belief that Arizona citizens and their children deserve more opportunities to enjoy youth sports and the high quality family entertainment that it provides. Our most important focus is to supply youth sports and family entertainment with an emphasis on education, fun, safety, and participation because everything we do at Alliance Youth Sports Association is for the betterment of all of our participants and volunteers.
Advantage Basketball Camps for Kids 6-18 The Ultimate Sports Training Experience. Your kids will grow and learn about more than basketball at an Advantage Basketball Camps’ session. While they practice ball-handling, dribbling, and shooting, they will also learn about self-esteem, teamwork, and the value of hard work. We have three types of camps: Shooting, Ball-Handling, and “Specialty Camps”. The Specialty Camps are an advanced camp covering a wide range of topics from defense to offense, court awareness, shooting and more. Specialty camps will only happen over Winter and Spring Break each year.
